The software player of Screens is an app operators download and it runs on iOS, Android, Windows and ChromeOS. It also has online toolset to design the content. Screens is expected to compete with enterprise digital CMS providers like Stratacache and Four Winds.
Adobe is betting heavily on this space as most people depend on adobe for their creatives, and then those creatives are populated to the digital signs using pure play digital CMS. Adobe is positioning signage and screens as just a channel extension within the creative toolset.
