The biggest stations at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), will have digital walls with advertisements and information peering out of them. DMRC has already made the change at their ITO station recently, installing a number of 12×6 square feet digital walls to display advertisements.
At 16×8 feet, the digital walls that are coming up at Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate, Central Secratariat, New Delhi and Chandi Chowk stations will be much bigger than what you see in ITO station. These digital walls would have multiple screens that can simultaneously show train timings, advertisements, othere information and messages.
This would help the cash strapped DMRC with revenue generation and it is expected to expand across the vast DMRC network.
DMRC will also have smaller LED screens at their ticket counters and they have already procured about 25 LED screens of 42 inches that are ready for installation. These LED screens would have information like fares, last and first train timing, security related messages etc.
